Welcome to Grange Park School of Motoring!
Established in 1991 by our principal Instructor, Joanne Barton, we
have over 17 years' of experience in the driver training industry. Joanne is a very patient lady
Instructor, and is D.S.A. Approved (Grade 5). She also holds the Diploma in Driving Instruction, is a DIAmond Advanced
Motorist and a Pass Plus Instructor.
We at Grange Park School of Motoring, have lots of experience in
teaching people of all ages and also cater for very nervous students. We have an excellent first time pass rate for the
practical test. We also offer help with study for the Theory and Hazard Perception tests, for which we also have an excellent
pass rate.
We offer very patient, reliable, relaxed and friendly structured
tuition on a one-to-one basis (at no time is there more than one student in the car!) Although we
are unable to offer intensive one or two week courses, we recommend weekly lessons of one or two hours duration which we have
found most people prefer. We cover most of the Bolton area.
From beginner to advanced, we structure the course to suit the individual,
and can also offer refresher courses to those who, for one reason or another, may not have driven for a while
and feel they need their confidence re-building. Pass Plus courses are also available for those who have
recently passed their practical driving test and wish to gain more experience behind the wheel. If this course is completed
successfully, then not only will you have gained further experience, but you will also be eligible for a discount on your
motor insurance.
Anyone interested in advanced driving courses or
training to become a Driving Instructor can contact us for information and advice on training courses available
through local ORDIT registered Driving Schools.
The vehicle used for tuition is the new TOYOTA AURIS 2.0 Turbo Diesel. It is
fitted with Dual Controls for your safety, air conditioning for your comfort, and many other
modern gadgets to make learning to drive a pleasure. It is a dream to drive and, being diesel-powered, is much less
likely to stall than a petrol engined car (an obvious advantage when you are learning to drive!)
